For Yeron

Yeron Hamudot

My brother. A builder, a creator — and one of the people who made our family’s fashion story possible.

He worked beside our father in downtown Los Angeles, carried the family trade forward, then built chapters of his own — in Henderson, on Melrose, and later in Israel.

A brother, a builder

He built with people, not just products

Yeron was fascinated by what makes people tick. At UCLA he studied sociology; in business, that curiosity became an instinct for customers, clothing — and the people who made a place feel alive.

Daniel taught the trade. Yeron carried it into new forms. And the work became part of the foundation Yaniv builds on today.

“He’s with me forever.”

His work

The chapters Yeron built

The family trade · Downtown LA

Manufacturing & wholesale

Yeron worked beside his father in the family’s downtown clothing business and, in time, took it over — wholesale, a retail store, manufacturing and distribution to larger retailers.

Henderson, Nevada

Broken Leash

Around 2006, Yeron moved to Henderson, near the Boca Park outdoor mall, to build something of his own. With Steve Esfahani he co-created the Broken Leash clothing label, which they ran until about 2012.

Melrose, Los Angeles

Identity Fashion

After Steve bought him out, Yeron returned to Los Angeles and opened Identity Fashion, his high-end boutique on Melrose, which he ran from about 2012 to 2014 — before he got sick with cancer.

The names were never just brands. Broken Leash — break free of whatever holds you. Identity — let your ideas out and be your own. Yeron lived the two of them.

Around 2014 · Israel

A new chapter

Yeron moved to Israel and built a career in high-tech — loving what was new, and devoted to helping people be their best.

The heritage continues

Rekindling what the family built

Yaniv is rekindling the family heritage of fashion and style in the Los Angeles Garment District — where Daniel and Yeron’s work began, and where Asia’s supply enters through the LA harbor.

Fabric District Direct carries it forward: manufacturing, design & development, sewing, fabric buying — and help turning an idea into a brand.
